The Minister for Transports, Véronyque Tremblay, announced last month that the Government of Quebec renewed a financial support of almost 12,5 millions of dollars to the snowmobile and ATV industry. ” Our government is proud to maintain such programs to contribute to the sustainability of the industry which is generating important economic benefits for all regions of Quebec. With this money, clubs will be able, among other things, to continue to maintain and develop safer trails networks.” she said.

It is more than 6,5 millions of dollars that will be given to the snowmobile clubs in Quebec for the 2017-2018 financial year. This help will contribute to the enhancement of trails recognized by the Federation of snowmobile clubs in Québec (FCMQ) in order to strengthen their permanence, and to buy equipments. A part of this budget will also be assigned to safety and environment in order to facilitate authorized trails signage and improve snowmobiling.

Concerning ATVs, the financial support amounts to 5,9 millions of dollars. « The Fédération québécoise des Clubs Quads welcomes today’s announcement since this financial support represents a significant part to offer quality trails and to ensure safety of all ATVs enthusiasts.” said Alain Décoste, president of the Fédération québécoise des Clubs Quads
